Publishing
I have published a document to site but is does not appear in the appropriate area. Why?
Before a contribution is published to the site proper it will have to be moderated
by an appropriate authority. An email has been sent to that authority who will
check and authorise your upload - and at that point it will appear on the site.
In the meantime, you have full access to your upload from within your Draft Area.
I have just published a document to site but I want to make some changes to it. How do I do this?
As long has the contribution is still sitting in your Draft Area, you may:
1. edit the document details held on the database for this contribution
2. delete the document entirely off the site
3. view the document as it would be viewed by everyone else
What you cannot do is edit the document on the site - you must delete it and upload again.
File Upload/Download
Why am I having problems uploading a contribution to the site?
The most common problem in uploading files is that a set of Windows files
called the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) which are needed to be present on your computer,
are either missing or out of date. All Microsoft browsers from version 4.01 onwards will have the JVM installed by
default. If you move onto the upload page in PRISM and a grey rectangle appears
permanently on that page, it is likely that the JVM is either not present or out of date.
Please click here to download and install the latest version for all Microsoft browsers.
All my files download with a ZIP extension. What does this mean?
When you select to download a contribution, all the files involved(including images) are
compressed into the popular ZIP format in order to reduce download time. After this is saved
to your hard-drive you will require a program called WinZip in order to uncompress it.
